Obituary for Thomas Jr. Scott
Thomas Scott,Jr. , 84 of Conway departed this life January 5, 2005 at the Conway Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.  Mr. Scott was born September 19, 1921 in Conway, Arkansas to the late Rev. Thomas L. Scott, Sr. and Mable Elizabeth (Walker) Scott. He joined Mt. Gale Baptist Church at an early age. Upon graduating from Pine Street High School, he attended AM&N College in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He continued his education by attending and graduating from Tuskegee Institute in Alabama, majoring in Architectural Engineering.Thomas married Edna Ruth Wright, to this union one son was born, Thomas L. Scott III, which preceded him in death. Thomas served his country as a Lieutenant in the United States Army during World War II. Thomas later united with Rose Scott, to this union three sons was born, Eric, Derrick and Jeroldlone Scott, all of Detroit, Michigan. After several years he moved back to Conway.Thomas leaves to cherish his memories two sisters Claudia Cummings and Mary H. Hollerman, two loving aunts, Alberta Green and Ruby Mae Fuller, all of Conway, Arkansas; Grandchildren and a host of Nieces, Nephews, relatives and friends.Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday at the Mt. Gale Baptist Church. Interment, Ray Cemetery. Arrangements, Larry G. Acklin Funeral Home, Conway. "In Your Time Of Need..... We Care".
