Obituary for Brenda Crosby
Brendia Crosby, 60, of Las Vegas, passed away July 30, 2009. She was born Nov. 29, 1948, in Little Rock, Ark., the daughter of Henry and Savanah Jernigan. She was raised in Little Rock and had resided in Las Vegas for over 32 years.
Brendia had a B.S. degree in education from the University of Arkansas, Pine Bluff, Ark., and a masters of education degree in counselling from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She worked for the Clark County School District for 32 years. She spent most of her life working for the betterment of youth and adults, which she enjoyed thoroughly. Brendia is survived by her mother, Savanah Jernigan of North Little Rock, Ark.; sister, LaVerne Walker of Atlanta; brothers, Henry Jernigan, Jr.; Holliest Jernigan, Edward Jernigan and Hugh Jernigan, all of Little Rock; and two nephews, Delvin and Darius Walker.
Funeral services will be 11am Thursday, Larry G. Acklin Chapel. Interment St. Matthew Cemetery Kerr, Ark. Arrangements entrusted to Larry G. Acklin Funeral Home 8821 Colonel Glenn, Little Rock. "IN YOUR TIME OF NEED...... WE CARE".
