Obituary for Moses Piggee
Mr. Moses Piggee, 88, of Conway, Ar departed this life Tuesday, March 31, 2015. He was born to the late Ledic and Maytie (Gaddy) Piggee on December 29, 1926 in Conway, AR.Â
He is preceded in death by his wife, Rose Ida (Cobin) Piggee; parents Ledic and Maytie Piggee; two brothers, Ezekiel and Joseph Piggee; four sisters, Mayella Piggee, Mandy Piggee, Linnie Mae Shavers, and Josephine Johnson; three sons, George L. Piggee, Willie C. Piggee, and Leonard Piggee; and two daughters, Evelyn Green Smith and May Dean Piggee. Â
Mr. Moses was born and raised in Conway, AR and attended the Conway Public Schools. As a teenager he worked on the Eagle Farm with his father and later as an adult, he worked construction on highways for many years. He also owned a mechanic shop and serviced many Conway residents. Mr. Piggee was a very proud and upstanding citizen.Â
He confessed a love for Christ and attended Zion Temple Church of God in Christ in Conway, AR.
He is survived by four daughters, Ida L. Gardner of Dallas, Georgia; Judith A. Piggee and Mary Lou Barnes, both of Conway, AR; Arilla Pore of Detroit, Michigan and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 11 am, Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Zion Temple Church of God in Christ, 1272 Sutton Street, Conway, AR. Visitation 7-8 pm Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at the funeral home. Interment Salem Cemetery.
