Obituary for Dennis Johnson
Mr. Dennis Johnson, of Conway,Ar departed this life Monday, September 2, 2019. He was born August 10, 1960 at Tabarian Hospital in Mound Bayou, MS to the late Robert Johnson and Dora Raine Dodds.
Dennis is preceded in death by his parents; one brother Christopher Johnson; maternal and fraternal grandparents; maternal and fraternal uncles and one great grandson.
Dennis confessed a hope in Christ at an early age at Wander's Home Missionary Baptist Church. He attended school at John F. Kennedy. Then, he joined the US Army on July 2, 1979.
Dennis was a skilled and talented carpenter in the states of Oregon, Mississippi and Arkansas.
Dennis leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife Keitha Va'Shawn Tyus-Johnson of Conway, Ar; one daughter Alfretta Johnson of Conway, AR; one son Dy'Zhun Jamar Johnson of North Little Rock, AR; stepmother Sallie Johnson of Medina, NY; two brothers twin Donald (Kimberly) Johnson of Vancover, Washington and Robert (Tayna) Johnson of Medina, NY; seven sisters Gendolyn D. Raine of Kelseyville, CA; Yolanda Watkins of Bartlett, Tenn.; Angela Wilson of San Antonio, TX; Christina Holloway of Niagra Falls, NY; Judy Johnson and Eugenia Shine, both of Medina, NY; Lorraine Johnson of Albany, NY and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Memorial services will be held 6:00 pm, Friday, September 13, 2019 at Anointed & Appointed Disciples Church, 310 Salem Road, Conway, Ar.
Out of State Memorial service will be held 2:00 pm, Sunday, September 15, 2019 at Johnson and Scott Mortuary, 904 N. Chrisman Avenue, Cleveland, MS.
