Obituary for Edgar "Wayne" Fourte, Sr.
Mr. Edgar "Wayne" Fourte,Sr., 52, of Mayflower, AR departed this life on Friday, March 5, 2021. He was born January 8, 1969 in Mayflower, AR to Edgar Lee Fourte and the late Merline Fourte.
Upon relocating to Mayflower in 1986, Wayne was enrolled at Mayflower High School and was a graduate of the Class of 1987.
Wayne worked as a heavy equipment operator for over 20 years with Gene Summers Construction Company in Maumelle, AR. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends. He was a loving, dependable, honest, compassionate man, who loved to keep others laughing and smiling.
Wayne expressed his belief and faith in God. Wayne is preceded in death by his grandparents; mother Merline Fourte; nephew Antoine Harper and the love of his life Linda Hammonds.
He leaves to mourn his passing a son, Edgar W. Fourte, Jr. of Mayflower, AR; daughter Trish Hammonds of Conway, AR; dad Edgar Lee (Geradline) Fourte of Hensley, AR; sisters Cassandra (Jewell) Harper of Mayflower, AR; Sherry (Harold) McCullough of Forney, TX; Darlene (Derrick) Austin of Clarksville, TN; brothers Broderick (Michelle) Fourte of Mayflower, AR; Mack (Djuanna) Cleveland of Little Rock, AR; Columbus (Jamie) Daniels of Little Rock, AR; granddaughter Kaylie Hammonds of Conway, AR; great granddaughter Parker Kaye of Conway, AR; a special friend Jean Hayes of Marche, AR and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 am, Sunday, March 14, 2021 at Palarm Cemetery in Mayflower, AR. Walk-Through Visitation will be 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm, Saturday, March 13, 2021 at the funeral home.
