Obituary for Doris Brown
Mrs. Doris Brown, 85, of Little Rock, AR departed this life on Thursday, January 30, 2020. She was born December 17, 1934 in Forsyth County, North Carolina to the late Jack and Lonie Mae (Williamson) Campbell.
She received Christ at Cleveland Avenue Christian Church in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where she was born and raised.
She is preceded in death by her loved husband, Rev. Robert L. Brown; children Audwin, Anthony and Lynette Perry; three sisters Viola Wigfall (Honey), Jacqueline C. Richardson, and Sandra Patricia Shipman; four brothers Almond (Pat), Joseph, Moses and Vernard Campbell; and a dear niece Jerri C. Holman.
She leaves behind a devoted sister, Carolyn (Mack) Campbell-McCain (Markus & Christopher) of Wilmington, N.C.; supportive niece Lori B. (Lester) Edom (Jelani & Jaleel Brown) of Dallas, TX; a loving aunt Thelma Russell of Winston-Salem, N.C.; two committed and loving brothers-in-law Elder John A. Brown of Little Rock, AR and Kenith Shipman of Spencer, N.C.; three grandchildren Tiffany, Anthony and Ashley Perry; three great grands; nieces and nephews Alfreda, Villette, Ronald, Jack Campbell, Robert York, Vidal Gillespie, Carlos and Travis Richardson; a special neighbor John (Nawel) Sipha and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Cross Street Christian Church, 1223 Cross Street, Little Rock, AR. Visitation one hour prior to services. Interment Spring Hill Cemetery in Little Rock, AR.
