Obituary for Willie Mae Seay
Mrs. Willie Mae Seay, 91, in North Little Rock, AR, (Marche Community) was born March 21, 1919 in Natural Steps, AR, to Sam and Fedamy Crouston. She departed this life on Good Friday, April 2, 2010.
Mrs. Seay is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Forest Seay, Sr. (March 15, 1987), and eleven siblings, with her being the last surviving sibling. She is also preceded by two daughters, Mrs. Louise Seay Bunting, and Mrs. Martha Jean Seay Mosby.
She belonged to New Zion United Methodist Church of Marche’, where she was a faithful member for over 70 years. Minister Johnny Davis was her devoted pastor, and he still serves the New Zion congregation.
Ms. Seay is survived by her other eight children, including seven daughters and one son: Amy Paulette Price (Larry), Connie Lee Seay, Forest Seay Jr. (Valerie), and Marie Tuggle (Columbus), all of Conway; Verlean Credit (Andrew) of Mayflower; Doris Ann and Mary Jane Seay of Marche’; and Eloise Lewis (David) of Little Rock. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Rock of Ages Missionary Baptist Church, 8112 Bicentennial Road, just off the Morgan exit, #142, in North Little Rock. Visitation will be on Friday, April 9, from 6-7 p.m. at the Larry G. Acklin Funeral Home at 910 Walnut Street in Conway. Arrangements entrusted to Larry G. Acklin Funeral Home, Conway.
