Obituary for Willie Lee Willis
Mrs. Willie Lee Henry Willis, 90, of Atkins, AR departed this life on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at her home. She was born October 29, 1927 to the late William Henry and the late Rosie Henry.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Mary Ella Pearson.
She received her formal education in Gold Hill, Arkansas.
She was a faithful church member. She cultivated and maintained a faithful relationship with God. She was a faithful member of Gold Hill Baptist Church for many years and served on the usher board. She was well-loved in the community.
Willie Lee leaves to mourn her niece, Wanda Pearson and nephew, Charlie Pearson, both of Fresno, CA; great nephews Craig and Jaquan Whiteside of Suisun, CA; great great niece Klair and great great nephew Tausheed.
She is also survived by her longtime friends Andrew Bobo, Joann Bobo, Larry Lingle, Laurale and Gary Greathouse, Jo Ann Wade and their children.
Survivors also include her cousins Bertha Haeggans, Lucille Leapheart and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Gold Hill Baptist Church, 3201 Gold Hill Road, Atkins, AR. Visitation one hour prior to service. Interment Allen Chapel AME Cemetery.
