Obituary for Willie Earl Martin
On Monday, February 20, 2006 an angel of the Lord came and silently called another soldier to receive a great reward.Deacon Willie Earl Martin, born May 20, 1923 to the late Dezzie B. and Annie Laura Martin in Hampton, Mississippi.Deacon Martin confessed a hope in Christ at a very early age at the Cedar Grace Missionary Baptist Church.   After becoming more knowledgeable of the true plan of salvation he was baptized in Jesus name and filled with the Holy Spirit.He then joined Light Of The World C. O. G. I. C. where he served faithfully as a deacon and Sunday School Superintendant.   Not only did deacon Martin live a life as a christian servant, he also served his country in the United States Army in World War II.  He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife- Martha Mitchell Martin of Little Rock, Arkansas; 4 Sons- Todd Martin, Mayflower, Arkansas; Randy Martin, Hot Springs, Arkansas; David Martin & Eugene Martin both of Tulsa, OK; 4 Daughters- Yvonne Harvey, Little Rock, Arkansas; Tammy Williams, Chicago, IL; KiKi Wright & Gloria Virgil both of Conway, Arkansas; 2 Brothers- Dezzie Martin, Jr. & Benny Martin both of Chicago, IL; 25 Grandchildren, 7 Great- Grandchildren.Funeral services will be 11am Saturday at Light Of The  World C.O.G.I.C. 601 Wall Street Morrilton, Arkansas.  Interment, Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Cleveland, Arkansas.   Family visitation will be Friday February 24, 2006 from 6-7pm at Larry G. Acklin Funeral Home 307 North St. Joseph Street- Morrilton.  "In Your Time Of Need..... We Care."
