Obituary for Welton Foster, Jr.
Deacon Welton Foster, Jr., 72, of Twin Groves, Ar departed this life on Wednesday, June 7, 2017. He was born on December 8, 1944 in Hattieville, AR to the late James Foster and Letha Mae Byers.
He is preceded in death by his parents, five brothers James Foster, Jr., Leroy Foster, Israel Foster, L.C. Canady, and ElRoy Canady; Nine sisters Viannia Turner, Cerella Byers, Bonzetta Foster, Addie Belle, Estella Mae Ross, Daisey Mae Donald, Althlene Garlington, Christine Ford, and Josephine Granberry.
Welton confessed hope in Christ at an early age and joined the Friendship Baptist Church in Center Ridge, AR. Later on, he moved his membership to Solomon Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Twin Groves, AR.
Welton worked as a brick mason for 52 years doing something he loved until his death.
Welton was united in marriage to Willie Morris Foster. To this union four boys, Rodney (Shelia) Foster, Kedrick Foster, Shane (special friend Cheree) Foster, and LaMonte McVay; one daughter, Doreen (Jack) Holloway; one brother Fletcher (Meloniese) Canady; two special brothers, Freddie Canady and Doyle Dooley); 16 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, June 17, 2017 at True Holiness Saints Center, 198 Hwy 286 East, Conway, Ar. Visitation 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm, Friday, June 16, 2017 at the funeral home. Interment Solomon Grove Cemetery in Twin Groves, AR.
