Obituary for Virgil Ray Odom
Mr. Virgil Ray Odom, 65, of Benton, AR departed this life on Saturday, April 1, 2023. He was born July 18, 1957 in Center Ridge, AR to the late Pyle and Anna L. (Brockman) Odom.
He was a graduate of Nemo Vista High School. He was active in sports, especially in basketball.
He worked for the U.S. Postal Service for many years in Denver, CO.
Virgil was preceded in death by both parents Pyle Odom and Anna L. Odom; sister Vanger Pearl Roseburrow and brother Cleophas Gilreath.
He leaves to cherish his memories sisters Rita (Kent) Odom Doloney, Evelyn Roseburrow, Mae Ella (Donald) Lewis, Helen Hale and brothers Pyle Odom, Jr., Robert (Sherry) Brockman, Roy (Jeanetta) Brockman, Clifton (Dorothy) Gilreath and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Monday, April 10, 2023 at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 3911 Hwy 92 in Center Ridge, AR. Visitation one hour prior to service (10:00 am). Interment Mt. Zion Cemetery in Center Ridge, AR.
