Obituary for Theodore “Mack" Rose, Jr.
Mr. Theodore “Mack, TRJR” Rose, Jr., 62, of Conway, AR departed this life on Friday, August 12, 2022. He was born July 3, 1960 in Trenton, Arkansas to the late Ollie Mae Rose and Theodore Rose Sr.
He accepted Christ as his personal savior at an early age by joining Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist of Trenton, Arkansas.
As an adult, he united with Palarm Chapel and later with Rock of Ages Missionary Baptist Church. He remained faithful at Rock of Ages until he was met with health challenges that prevented him from attending.
Upon graduating from Marvell High School, Mack moved to Conway Arkansas, to be closer to his siblings. Over the years, he tried his hands at many activities but learned that he enjoyed being outside. Hence, Rose Tree Service was created. Mack love animals and anything associated with being outside. He was an avid horseback rider. Mack was a hard worker and loved his family. He was a self- made man, always helping others whenever possible. He was never a stranger, and no one was ever a stranger to him.
He was united in marriage to Sheila Battle in March of 2006. Not only was he blessed with a wife, but he was also blessed with an extended family gaining two daughters and grandchildren.
Mack was preceded in death by his mother Ollie Mae Rose; father Theodore Rose Sr. and sister Sandra Kelly.
He is survived by his son Dexter White, sisters Edna “Sam” Rose, Darlene Rose-Thomas (Charles), Ethel “Doll” Goodwin (Bill), Carrie “Niese” Rose, Barbra Rose and Sandra Rose-Kelly; brothers John “Chico” Rose (Lucille), Reggie Rose (Kimberly), and Kent Davis; a special aunt, Linda Wilborn; 11 grandchildren; 25 nieces and nephews; a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and two special friends-Calvin Booth and Mack Williams.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Rock of Ages Missionary Baptist Church, 8112 Bicentennial Road, North Little Rock, AR. Visitation one hour prior to service. Interment 12:00 noon, Sunday, August 21, 2022 at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Trenton, AR.
