Obituary for Telmon Boyd Nix
Mr. Telmon Boyd Nix went home to be with the Lord on March 3, 2011 at the age of 97. He was born on September 3, 1913 in Mt. Vernon, AR to the late William Alford and Lue Ella Bailey Nix, where he lived all of his life.
His loving wife Versie Rena Nix, two daughters & two sons preceded him in death.
He was a farmer and he farmed and tended to his land until his health failed him.
He will be dearly missed by his sons, Elwood Nix (Bettie), Earl Ray Nix (Ina Gean), both of Little Rock, AR; Harvey Lee Nix (Claudia) Telmon Alford Nix (Brenda), both of Kokomo, IN; Woodrow Nix (Billie Jean) of Austin, TX; Daughters Lou Ann Cummings, Kokomo IN; Pearl Joyce Washington, of Ontario, CA; Alicesteen Peevy (Orelious) of Diamond Bar, CA. 41 grandchildren, 75 great grandchildren, 73 great-great grandchildren, 3 great-great-great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 11 am at Zion Grove Baptist Church in Twin Groves, AR. Interment Mt. Olive Cemetery in Mt. Vernon, AR. Visitation Friday 1-5 p.m. at funeral home. Arrangements entrusted to Larry G. Acklin Funeral Home, 910 Walnut Street, Conway. 327-1124 "IN YOUR TIME OF NEED.....WE CARE."
