Obituary for Shirley Elizabeth Howard
Mrs. Shirley Elizabeth Howard departed this life on Saturday, October 6, 2018. She was born in Booneville, MS on March 4, 1951 to the late Alfred and Gloria Motton.

She was joined in holy matrimony to Milton Powells in St. Louis, MO and to that union one beautiful daughter was born.

Shirley was preceded in death by her stepmother, Alrethia Motton; three sisters, Susan B olden, Almethia Motton and Deborah Motton-Jones; two brothers, Steve Johnson and Maurice Pearson; and one grandson, Dustin McGee.

Shirley professed a hope in Christ at an early age and was united with Spring Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Booneville, MS. In her later years, she was united with Destiny Christian Fellowship in Fremont, CA where she remained a faithful member until her death on October 6, 2018. Diligent in her service to the church, she served as a member of the choir.

Shirley served in the Missouri National Guard in the medical field. She was employed by Stanford Health Care in Palo Alto, CA until her death. She was a dedicated, hardworking and a loyal employee. She will be deeply missed by those whose lives she touched.

She is survived by one daughter, Diannia Grant (Richard, Sr); six sisters, Barbara Sylvester, Regina Pierce, Deborah McClure, Sharon Mack (David), Alethia Motton, Donna Johnson(Marvin); four brothers, Alfred Motton, Jr, Tony Motton, Gregory Bolden, David Bolden; three grandchildren, Marshal McGee, Donovon Minor (Amanda), Aaron Fagen and one great grandson, Ezekiel(Zeke) Minor.

A Celebration of Life service will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, October 20, 2018 at New Life Full Gospel Church, 7329 Burnside Drive, North Little Rock, AR. Interment Riverwood Memorial Gardens, 301 Carnahan Drive, Maumelle, AR.
