Obituary for Scottie Black

Mr. Scottie L. Black, 49, of Little Rock, AR was born on May 30, 1975 in Conway, AR to Thomas and Carolyn Black. He transitioned from this life on Thursday, September 19, 2024. 


He is preceded in death by his older brother, Thomas Black.


Scottie accepted Christ at an early age and shared his love with all who knew him. He graduated from J.A Fair High School and served others as a phlebotomist and in the car business.


He married the love of his life, Rolanda Black, in 1999 and together, they raised their three children; Darius, Sedrick and Sedaria.


Scottie’s love for his family pushed him to go to all ends ensuring that everyone’s stomach’s were full, needs were met and that their significance in his life was clear.


Scottie was a devoted son, loving husband, dedicated father, the best pawpaw and a faithful friend, whom will be deeply missed.


He is survived by his loving wife; Rolanda Black, parents; Thomas and Carolyn Black, children; Darius, Sedrick (Mariah) and Sedaria, grandchildren; Braden, Drew, KynBella and Brenton, siblings; Ursula Wright (Alexis), Brian Poole (Kanesha), Latoya Washington, Brandon Washington, Sasha Washington, Teanicesha Black, Zion Black and a host of family and friends that love him.


Visitation will be held 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Friday, September 27, 2024 at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, 4820 W. 65th Street, Little Rock, AR.


Funeral services will be held 12:00 pm, Saturday, September 28, 2024 at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, 4820 W. 65th Street, Little Rock, AR 72209. 


Interment Robinson Cemetery in Conway, AR.
