Mr. Sammie Thomas, Sr.,56, of Conway departed this life November 27, 2010. Born October 18, 1954 to Willie B. Maxwell and the late Elijah Thomas in England, AR. He was a construction worker.Â
Survivors include his wife, Vera Turner Thomas; two daughters, Katrina (Tyrone)  Williams and Stephanie Thomas, both of Conway, Ar.; three sons, Sammie Thomas, Jr., Kenneth Thomas, and Stevie (Jodee) Thomas, all of Conway, Ar.; Five sisters, Queen Spears, Wanda Thomas, and Cybil Thomas, all of England, AR, Shirley Turner and Angela Jones, both of Little Rock, Ar. Five brothers, Raymond Thomas, Sherman Thomas, and Elijah Thomas, all of England, AR, Arthur Thomas of Dermott, AR and Rev. Curtis Thomas of Little Rock, AR.Â
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 11, 2010 at Greater Pleasant Branch Baptist Church, 601 Spruce Street, Conway. Visitation 6:00-7:30 p.m. Friday at Annointed and Appointed Disciples Church. Interment Salem Cemetery.
