Obituary for Ruthie Lee Young
Sister Ruthie Lee Young, 77, of Conway departed this life on Monday, September 28, 2020.
She was the daughter of A.D. and Effie Mae (Wesley) Young born June 15, 1943 in Springfield, Arkansas.
She is preceded in death by her mother Effie Mae Wesley Young; father A.D. Young; two sisters Pearline Brockman and Bertha Criswell; seven brothers Sylvester, Allen, Richard, A.D., Jr., James, Clifton and Albert Young.
At an early age Ruthie accepted Christ and became a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church. Later, she united with Williams Temple Church of God in Christ where she served as an usher.
Sister Ruthie was a high school graduate of Conway County Training School in Menifee, AR. She later attended Arkansas Mechanical and Normal College in Pine Bluff, AR.
She was a certified manicurist and dedicated, wholesome and friendly person.
Sister Ruthie leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memories two sisters Marjorie O’Guinn of Strong, AR and Dollie Pickens of Conway, AR. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 am, Thursday, October 1, 2020 at Holly Springs Cemetery in Springfield, AR. Walk-Thru Visitation will be 2 pm – 7 pm, Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at the funeral home.
