Obituary for Ruth Moton
Mrs. Ruth Pace Moton, 88, of Conway, Ar departed this life Sunday, July 27, 2014. She was born on January 25, 1926 to the late Deacon Henry and Annie Kate (Perkins) Pace in North Little Rock, AR.  She is preceded in death by her daughter, Annie Moton-Kornegay; sons Rayton and Emmett Moton, Jr.;grandson Lemoyne Ray; sisters Naomi Phillips and Mattie Cohens; and brothers Henry Pace, Jr. and Harry L. Pace.

Ruth was reared in the Marche community and confessed a hope in Christ at an early and united with Trinity Grove Missionary Baptist Church, where she remained a faithful member until her illness. She was a dedicated member of the "Inspirational Choir" for over 50 years traveling to many parts of Arkansas and surrounding states singing praises of the Lord she knew so well.

Ruth was employed by the late Dr. Paul and Fritzie Means for many years. She was also employed by Elizabeth (Bessie) Means. Her love for "her Bessie" was evident and they remained in contact even after her retirement.

She loved her family dearly as well as her church family and was always happiest when in the company of her sisters and other family members. 

She leaves her beautiful memories to her daughters, Essie (Herman) Lasker of Conway, AR; Lillie (Cecil) Williams of North Little Rock, AR; Vernessa (Ralph) Ervin of Little Rock, AR; daughter-in-law, Brenda Moton; sisters, Ceretha Smith of North Little Rock, AR; Essie Coffee of North Little Rock, AR; Earnestine Irby of Little Rock, AR and Joyce Sewell of Conway, AR; sisters-in-law Sadie Pace of Norfolk, VA; Maxine Pace of Kerr, AR, Lovie Pace and Helen Pace, both of North Little Rock, AR; special friends Earcy Lene Pace, Carolyn Baldwin, Esther Stubbs, Ethel Johnson and Unity Adult Center of Conway and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 11 am, Friday, August 1, 2014 at Trinity Grove Baptist Church, 14208 Old Maumelle Road, North Little Rock, AR. Visitation 1-6 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Interment Perkins Cemetery in Marche, AR.
