Obituary for Ruby Mateen Ausler
Mrs. Ruby Mateen Blackmon Ausler, 87, of Morrilton departed this life Saturday February 12, 2011. She was born March 22, 1922 to the late Benjamin and Bertha Blackmon in the Hickory Hill Community of Morrilton, Arkansas. Â
Sister Ruby Ausler professed a hope in Christ at an early age at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Kenwood. She later moved her membership to Pilgrim Rest #2, Atkins where she actively served in the church as Sunday School Teacher, treasurer of Women’s Missions and choir member. She helped others in need in the Happy Bend Community and also when the family moved to Morrilton. Ruby and Napoleon later joined with St. Matthew #3 under the pastorage of Rev. Eugene L. Hardin. Sister Ruby Ausler loved the Lord greatly and expressed it in all of her loving words and ways. She had a beautiful smile and a loving embrace for everyone she met.
Ruby Mateen Blackmon met and married Napoleon Ausler in September 1938. To this union thirteen children were born. She was preceded in death; by her three children John Henry, Robert Lee, Mae Francis, grandson David Ausler II, three sisters Lula Robinson, Annie Erby, Arbie Templeton and two brothers Jessie and Lemorn Bowles.
She leaves to cherish her memories her loving husband of 72 years, Napoleon Ausler and ten children Mary Williams (John) of Kansas City, Kansas, Helen Howard, Bill Ausler (Rita), David Ausler (Rhonda), Naroshay Ausler (Priscilla), Philemon Ausler (Thurlene) all of Denver, Colorado, Alice Canady of Morrilton, Arkansas, Linda Saulsberry (William) of Dallas, Texas, Bertha Parks (Dwight) and Diane Brooks (Don) both of Little Rock, Arkansas, 23 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, 1632 Happy Bend Road, Atkins, AR. Visitation 6-8 p.m. Friday at funeral home chapel. Interment Rose of Sharon Cemetery, Blackwell, AR. Arrangements entrusted to Larry G. Acklin Funeral Home, 307 N. St. Joseph St, Morrilton, AR. "IN YOUR TIME OF NEED..... WE CARE".
