Obituary for Roy Stubbs
Mr. Roy Stubbs, 61, of Greenbrier, AR departed this life Tuesday, September 10, 2013. He was born on April 23, 1952 in New Madrid, MO to the late Morris (Irby) Bankston and Scipio Stubbs, Sr.
He is preceded in death by his parents, daughters Twila Denise Stubbs and Pamela Stubbs and one sister, Wendell Stubbs.
He confessed his belief in Christ at any early age. He later joined the United States Army where he finished up his Basic Training at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. He served in the Army for 12 years. After leaving the Army, he resided in California where he became a self-employed carpenter.
He is survived by his daughter, Morris Francine (Perry) Kelly of Morrilton, AR; Two sons, Shelton (Amber) Stubbs of Sherwood, AR and Roy Stubbs, Jr. of Los Angeles, CA; mother, Etoy Stubbs of Mayflower, AR; Six sisters, Ruby (Andrew) Mosley, Helen (James) Fuller, Patricia Stubbs, Wyvone (Prince) Fuller, Debora (Gerald) Grisgby, and Phyllis Stubbs, all of Mayflower, AR; Five Brothers, Cecil Armstrong, Jr., of Kansas City, MO; Scipio (Delores) Stubbs, Jr., of Los Angeles, CA; Kent (Sandra) Stubbs, Langtry (Omaria) Stubbs, and Corrado Stubbs, all of Mayflower, AR; special mom Ester Stubbs; fiance' Lillie Porter of Little Rock, AR, 9 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 11 am Monday, September 16, 2013 at Palarm Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 795 Hwy 365 S, Mayflower, AR. Visitation 6-8 pm Sunday, September 15, 2013 at the funeral home. Interment Palarm Cemetery in Mayflower, AR.
