Obituary for Ronald Wilson I
Ronald Wilson I, 53, of Mayflower, departed this life April 12, 2012. He was born to the late Lillie Williams Mouton and John Wilson on June 23, 1958 in Marianna, AR. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Melvin Campbell.
Ron received his Bachelor of Art degree in Economics from Hendrix Collge in 1981. Ron's work history included restaurant management, material & inventory control, new loan officer, new car salesman and more recently, Manufacturing and Security at Virco Mfg Company.Â
During his years at Lee Senior High School in Marianna, Ronald played football, was a member of the track team and served as a page in the Arkansas House of Representatives in the Spring of 1975.
He married Elain McClure on September 5, 1981. Ronald enjoyed fishing, cooking, playing the piano/keyboard and gospel music.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine Wilson of Dallas, TX; two sons, Ronald Wilson II of Dallas, TX and Neal Randall of Conway, AR; one daughter, Raquita Wilson of Conway, Ar; One sister, Edna Wheaton; Six brothers, Charles Alvin (Lou) Campbell, Joseph Campbell, Johnny Campbell, Clem William Campbell, David Wilson and Michael Campbell. He also leaves to mourn his mother-in-law, Marion McClure; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
Funeral services will be 11 am Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Palarm Chapel Baptist Church, 795 Hwy 365 South, Mayflower, AR. Interment Palarm Cemetery. Family visitation 6-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Arrangements entrusted to Larry G. Acklin Funeral Home, 910 Walnut Street, Conway. "IN YOUR TIME OF NEED....WE CARE."
