Obituary for Roma Sr. Williams
Mr. Roma Williams, 74, of Little Rock, AR departed this life Wednesday, July 2, 2014. He was born March 17, 1940 in Antoine, Arkansas  to the late Ran and Laruth Williams.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ran and Laruth Williams and his brother Carroll Williams.
Roma graduated from Scipio Jones High School and was baptized in Christ at an early age at Gum Street Church of Christ by Bro. Â Ealgie Gilbert. Â Roma later moved his membership to Eastside Church of Christ and Sweet Home Church of Christ.
Roma was employed as a truck driver for Commercial Warehouse and Integrated Distribution Center for over 40 years. Â Roma was a great outdoorsman and he loved to garden, fish and hunt. Â He also loved to sing and served as the song leader at Sweet Home Church of Christ for many years.
Roma’s memories will live on in the hearts of those who have been touched by his kind spirit.  He is now united with his father, mother and brother.  He leaves to celebrate and cherish his memory: sons Roma Williams, Jr. (Claudia), Derrick Williams, their mother Lue Gussie Phillips Williams all of Little Rock, AR; Lynn Williams of Maumelle, AR and Bruce Allen Roberts of Los Angeles, CA; daughter Valerie Montgomery of Hawthorn, CA; sister-in-law Annette Williams of Los Angeles, CA; stepson Kijana Royal (Pamela) of NLR, AR; Stacey Davis (Carlos) of LR, AR, Vivian Baltimore, Valerie Gooden and Douglas Williams: six grandchildren and one great grandchild; and a host of relatives and friends.Â
Funeral services will be held 11 am, Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Church of Christ 915 Curtis Sykes Drive, North Little Rock, AR. Visitation 6-7 pm Friday at the funeral home. Interment Rest in Peace Memorial Gardens, Hensley, AR.
