Rev. Robert H. Williams, 84, of Little Rock, AR departed this life on Monday, November 18, 2024. He was born September 7, 1940 in Tillar, AR to the late Percy Williams and Mamie (Wilson) Williams.
Robert attended J.C. Cook High School in Wrightsville, AR.
Robert accepted Christ at an early age. He became a member of the Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church in College Station and later became an ordained minister in 1973. He was a pastor at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church on John Barrow for a few years.
Rev. Williams was a humble man and would do whatever he could to help anyone in need. He loved his family and would do anything for them, especially his wife and children, but most of all he loved the Lord.
He is preceded in death by his wife Annie Mae Pearson (January 2004); one son Dexter Williams (June 2018); parents Percy and Mamie Williams; three brothers Percy "PW" Williams, Jr., David Williams and Earl Williams; eight sisters Ellen Gillien, Estella Hayes, Letha Williams, Vera Burton, Elizabeth Dean, Clara Dobbins, Daisy Ford and Helen Williams.
He is survived by two sisters, Linda Boone and Mary Artis, both of New Jersey; three daughters Dollie Staggers of Maumelle, AR, Harriet Scott (Tommy) of College Station and Angela Meyer (Robert) of Jacksonville, AR; six grandchildren Shenisha Smith (Teddy) of Atlanta, GA; Lemilia Musosha (Chawlwe) of Henderson, NV; Demeteria Williams of NLR, AR; Latoya Williams of Texas; Joey and Julian Meyers and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Celebration of Life service will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, November 30, 2024 at Larry G. Acklin Funeral Home, 8821 Colonel Glenn, Little Rock, AR followed by interment at Rest in Peace Memorial Gardens in Hensley, AR.
