Obituary for Robert E. Scott

Mr. Robert Earl Scott was born June 10, 1968 in Temple, TX to the late Hosie Samuel Scott & Earnestine Statewright Scott. He departed this life on Sunday, July 23, 2023.

He accepted Christ at an early age and through life’s challenges, developed a deeper, personal relationship through prayer in his later years.

After graduating from Clarendon High School, Robert went on to serve his country in the US Navy. After 4 years of decorated service, he was honorably discharged from duty and went on to serve as a postal worker and later a mental health technician until his health began to fail.

Robert loved playing card games, chess, dominoes, watching movies, and visiting with the elderly. He was quick-witted and could command a room with his charismatic nature. He would often share stories of all his children, whom he adored greatly, and their vast array of accomplishments that made him so proud.

Along with his parents, Robert was also preceded in death by his sister, Anna Scott-Porter.

He leaves to cherish his memory, children Robin L. Brewster of Clarendon, AR; Lela N. Scott of San Diego, CA; Madison P. Scott of Nash, TX; Robert E. Scott, Jr. of Tallahassee, FL and Savannah G. Scott of Auburn, Alabama; two brothers Samuel Scott (Christina) of Little Rock, AR and Theran John Scott (Rachel) of Pine Bluff, AR. He is also survived by Nasha Scott, his beloved life partner of 23 years; treasured nieces and nephews Jamell, Kendall, Brandon, LaDajah, and Del’a; one grandson, Zayden and a great host of relatives and friends.

Public Memorial Service will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, July 29, 2023 at United Missionary Baptist Church, 139 Old Military Rd in Conway, AR.

Interment will be held 1:00 pm, August 18, 2023 at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 1501 W. Maryland Ave in NLR, AR.

Services entrusted to Larry G. Acklin Funeral Home, 910 Walnut Street, Conway, AR. "IN YOUR TIME OF NEED...WE CARE."
