Obituary for Richard L. Hammons
Richard "Papa" Hammons, 57, of Conway, departed this life, Saturday, August 2, 2008 at his residence. He was born on September 26, 1950 to the late Herley Hammons and Leola Rogers Hammons in Conway, AR. He was baptized at an early age. He was also a Vietnam Veteran. Â
Survivors include his wife, Ophelia "Dolly" Hammons; one son, Cortez (Kesha) Hammons; seven sisters, Ola (Woodrow) Ealy of Conway; Florida (Roy) Beaugard and Linda Hammons, both of Flint, MI; Betty Hightower, Frances (Ira) Furlow, Anita (Rodney) Jackson, and Rachel (David) Jackson, all of Conway; four brothers, Lotis Hammons, of Flint, MI; Rayfus Hammons, Conway; Herman (Patricia) Hammons, Lancaster, TX and Odell (Shirley) Hammons of Maumelle; Six Grandchildren, Dallon Hammons, Keaundre' Greenlaw, Darion Hammons, Dontez Hammons, Tavion Bynum, and Kamen Maltbia, and a host of nephews, neices, and other relatives.
