Obituary for Rev. Glenn Earl Dedner, Sr.
Rev. Glenn Earl Dedner, Sr., 77, of Tucker, Ar departed this life on Wednesday, February 8, 2017. He was born on October 21, 1939 in Lockesburg, Ar to Thurman L. Brown and Ruth Oleader Trammel.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Alva Bernice Holmes and Ruth Evelyn Trammel and a brother, M.T. Dedner.
Glenn was a farmer and truck driver, which he loved doing.
He accepted his calling to preach and pastored many churches in the area. He was well known as the guitar playing preacher for many quartets in the surrounding areas. He was also known as the "Same Man" preacher. He was a loving father and grandfather with a vibrant and outgoing personality and always found a way to make people laugh.
He was married for 43 years to Ms. Elegest Dedner.
He is survived by four children, Clementine Maxiell of North Little Rock, AR; Vonda Marshall of Benton, Ar; Marquita Dedner of Mabelvale, AR and Glenn E. (Lashonda) Dedner, Jr. of Hurst, TX; four sisters, Betty Jane Dedner of Magnolia, AR; Mary (Rod) Rodman of Richmond, TX; Jerelene Epps of McKinney, TX and Helene Trent Elliot of West Virginia, VA; three brothers, Bay Edward Dedner of Stamps, AR; Gill Whitney Dedner of Benton, AR and Hubert Dedner of McKinney, TX; six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, February 18, 2017 at East Macedonia Baptist Church, 101 A. Street, England, AR. Visitation 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Friday, February 17, 2017 at the church.
