Mr. Phillip John Murray was born August 08, 1962 to Roxie Murray and W.T. Everette in Morrilton, Arkansas.
Phillip professed a love for Christ at an early age and joined the Greater Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Morrilton, Arkansas. Later in life, he went on to work at Riceland Foods, where he later retired. He loved all sports and could tell you about a player at any given time. He also aspired to be a sports analyst. His two favorite sayings were “What up though” and ‘’Say it aint so’’.
He was a graduate of Morrilton High School and attended college in Beebe, Arkansas.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Roxie Murray and W.T. Everette; his son Phillip Murray Jr.; brother Leonard Murray and three sisters Linda Fay Willams, Emma Sanders and Ethel May Allen.
He leaves to cherish his children Shanta Denise Rhine of Conway, Arkansas; Phyllis Joan Everette, Phillecia Lorraine Everette, Tyler Deleon Murray, Whittley Del Cooper( Bradley), all of Morrilton, Arkansas; grandchildren Bradley Coope Jr., Bre’Aysia Cooper , Brayden Cooper, and A’myah Woodin, all of Morrilton, Arkansas; three brothers Charles Murray and W.C Murray (Jacqueline), both of Morrilton, Arkansas and Billy Joe Murray (Veronica) of Earle, Arkansas; 2 sisters Earnestine Foster of Conway Arkansas and Martha Mae Murray of Ruston, Louisiana and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Greater Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 58 Sandtown Road, Morrilton, AR.
