Obituary for Pauline Denise Bobo-Brown
Mrs. Pauline Denise Bobo-Brown was born June 13, 1947 in Atkins, AR to the late Simpson Bobo and Luceal Alexander-Bobo. She passed away peacefully on December 16, 2021.
Pauline attended the churches in the Gold Hill Community most of her life but became a member of Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church later in life under the ministry of Rev. Brenda Tillman.
She attended Gold Hill Elementary School, then, later attended L.W. Sullivan High School in Morrilton, Arkansas. She integrated into Atkins High School n 1965 where she received her diploma in 1966.
Pauline moved to Detroit soon after graduating where she married Johnnie Lee Brown, Jr. in 1975. To this union one child was born, Felicia V. Brown. Pauline emphasized her culinary skills as an employee at Jacobson’s Department Store until she fell ill and relocated back to Atkins, AR. While she was back home, she reunited with long time friend Alvin Parker and to this union one child was born, Darlene A. Parker. Pauline lived out her days in Atkins where she never met a stranger and always greeted you with a loving and warm smile.
Pauline is preceded in death by her parents Simpson and Luceal Alexander Bobo; late husband Johnnie Lee Brown, Jr.; daughter Felicia V. Brown-Boss; brother Claudie L. Bobo; and nephew Jerome L. Bobo.
She leaves to cherish her memories her two brothers Nathan Bobo, Sr. of Dallas, TX and Andrew Bobo of Baytown, TX; sisters-in law Jo Ann Bobo of Atkins, AR and Sheila Brown-Robinson of Detroit, MI; daughter Darlene (Jesse) Eaton of Atkins, AR; daughter-in-law Jasmine Bobb of Detroit, MI; two granddaughters Shantel Brown and Faith (Tiara) Watkins, both of Detroit, MI; one great granddaughter Allison Brown of Detroit, MI and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 am, Thursday, December 23, 2021 at Allen Chapel AME Cemetery, 112 S. Shore Road in Atkins, AR. Visitation 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm, Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at funeral home.
