Obituary for Otis Clemmons
Otis Clemons was born in Mt. Vernon , Arkansas on June 3, 1948 to his parents John Isaac Clemons and Lizzie Mae Clemons.  He confessed Christ at an early age uniting with Mt Olive Baptist Church where he was baptized and attended schools in Arkansas and received his education at White County Training School and when it was intergrated he went to Searcy High School where he played football and ran track. He was blessed to have a good life.  He worked for A.B.I.  Iron foundry for many years and was a Hod Carrier for local 166 for more than 30 years.  He later met and married Beverly Clemons in Oakland, California on February 5, 1972.  From this Union Beverly gained a son  Otis Dewayne Clemons and from their union 3 daughters, Velma Clemons, Linnie Clemons, Lizzie Clemons;  7 Grandchildren:  Marcus Johnson, Markishea Johnson, Steven Moore, Destiny Clemons, Harold Powell, Rogana sledge and Rodney Sledge.  Son in Laws: Pharoah Powell, Rodney Sledge, Marcus Johnson.  He departed this life on July 24, 2007 and was preceded in death by Father: John Isaac Clemons, Mother: Lizzie Mae Clemons, Son: Otis Dewayne Clemons.  He leaves to mourn his passing Two Brothers - John H. Clemons and John C. Clemons, One Sister - Ardealure Fields, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, relatives and friends.Funeral services will be at 11am Monday August 6, 2007 Mt. Gale Baptist Church.Interment Mt. Olive Cemetery in Mt. Vernon, Arkansas.  Visitation 10am Monday at the church.  Arrangements entrusted to Larry G. Acklin Funeral Home 8821 Colonel Glenn, Little Rock.  "IN YOUR TIME OF NEED...... WE CARE".
