Obituary for Ollie Mae Rose
Ollie Mae Rose, 70, of Conway, departed this life August 27, 2009. Born September 18, 1938 to the late Eddie and Ethel Hopson. She confessed her life to Christ at a very early age at First Baptist of Poplar Grove, and later became a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She later moved to Conway, AR and united with the Rock of Ages Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. James E. Mackey.
Ollie married her teenage love, the late Theodore Rose, Sr. and to this union six beautiful children were born: Patricia Rose, John Rose (Lucille), Darlene Earnest (Charles), Theodore Rose, Jr. (Sheila) all of Conway, Ethel Rose (Bill) of Cabot, and Carrie Rose of Irving, Texas. She leaves to cherish her wonderful memories two sisters, Linda Wilborn and Emma Jackson, both of Poplar Grove; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Ethel Hopson, a sister, Eddie Mae Scaife, a brother, Willie Louis Hopson, Sr. and a great-granddaughter, Kenya K. Johnson.
Funeral services will be 11am Saturday September 5, 2009 at Rock of Ages Missionary Baptist Church 8112 Bicentennial Road, North Little Rock, Arkansas.  Family visitation will be Friday from 6-8pm at the church.
A viewing will be held at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Trenton, Arkansas at 3:30pm. Interment Pleasant Grove Cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted Larry G. Acklin Funeral Home, Conway. "IN YOUR TIME OF NEED...... WE CARE".
