Obituary for Odella E. Tyus Dillard
Mrs. Odella E. Tyus Dillard, 90, of Twin Groves, AR departed this life February 29, 2012. She was born on September 6, 1921 to the late John L. Tyus and Gertha Brown Tyus in Damascus, AR. She professed a hope in Christ at an early age and joined Zion Grove Baptist Church, where she remained a faithful member until her health failed her.She united in marriage to James Dillard. To this union five children were born. She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter, Nita Vargean Dillard and a son, Palas Dillard. She leaves to cherish her memory three sons, Berlon (Betty) of Conway, AR, Cleotis of Twin Groves, AR and Reggie of Conway, AR; Nine grandchildren; twenty three great grandchildren; one brother, Cornelius Tyus (Lillie) of Twin Groves, AR; one daughter-in-law, Raslyn Dillard of North Little Rock, Ar and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.Funeral services will be held 11 am Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Zion Grove Baptist Church, 1514 Hwy 65 North, Twin Groves, AR. Visitation 6-7 pm Friday at the church. Burial Zion Grove Cemetery in Twin Groves, AR. Arrangements entrusted to Larry G. Acklin Funeral Homes-Conway. "IN YOUR TIME OF NEED....WE CARE."
