Minister Homer Howard, 81 of Conway, departed this life December 28, 2009. Minister Homer Howard was born September 21, 1928 in Faulkner County to the late Levi Howard and Rose Walls Howard. He departed this life Monday, December 28, 2009 at home. He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and five sisters.
He served in the United States Army from 1949 to 1961.
He was retired from Tiffany’s Manufacturing Company after 25 years.
He was united with the Sinai Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Elder J.W. Rogers until his passing. He remained a faithful member under Elder S.D. Mitchell until his health failed.
He was united in Holy Matrimony to Betty Mae Young on May 26, 1964.
Minister Howard was a deacon of the church and a Sunday School teacher.
Minister Howard leaves to cherish his passing his wife, Betty Mae Howard, of Conway, Ar; one brother, Leo Howard, of Omaha, NE; two step sons, Albert (Brenda) Williams, of Los Angeles, CA and Bobby Joe (Genevie) Johnson, of Oakland, CA; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Funeral services 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at Sinai Church of God in Christ, Conway. Interment AR State Veterans Cemetery, North Little Rock, AR; Visitation 6-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Arrangements entrusted to Larry G.
