Obituary for Merdis Parker
Mrs. Merdis Parker, 84, of El Dorado, AR, departed this life Monday, September 23, 2013. She was born in Mt. Holly, Ar on September 28, 1928 to the late John and Leona (Thornton) Willis. She was the youngest of ten siblings. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one son, William Parker, Sr.; one daughter, Linda D. Johnson; five sisters and five brothers.Â
Her loving memories will be cherished by five sons, John D. (Juliana) Parker, Jr. of Columbia, SC; James E. Parker of Little Rock, AR; Billy D. (Doris) Parker, Arthur Ray (Betty) Parker and Cherry D. (Melissa) Parker, all of El Dorado, AR; five daughters Patsy R. (Henry) Robinson of Lancaster, TX; Shirley D. Parker of Houston, TX; Geniel Parker, Patricia A. (William-Jerome) Hicks and Colonda (Rev. Michael) Pierce, all of El Dorado, AR; forty-seven grandchildren, thirty-nine great grandchildren and four great  great  grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.Â
Funeral services will be held 11 am, Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Zion Watch Baptist Church, 103 Shoute Division, El Dorado, AR. Visitation one hour prior to services. Interment will be Monday, September 30, 2013 at AR State Veterans Cemetery, 1501 W. Maryland St, Sherwood, AR.
