Obituary for Maya Macon-Austin
Maya Macon Austin, 37, of Alexander, Ar departed this life Thursday, March 4, 2015. She was born to Gloria (Acklin) Macon and the late Louie Macon on March 18, 1977 in Little Rock, Ar.
Maya graduated from Mayflower High School in 1995 and later received her Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Music from Philander Smith College. She was a preschool teacher at Dream Academy and a member of Greater Pleasant Branch Baptist Church.
Maya is survived by her husband, Marcus Austin of Alexander, AR; one daughter, Isis Austin and two sons, Osiris and Seth Austin, all of Denver, CO; mother Gloria Macon of Mayflower, AR; four sisters Francine Canady and Michelle Delph, both of Conway, Ar; Yolanda Rhine and Talisa Bynum, both of Mayflower, AR; three brothers Darrell Fuller and Louie Macon, Jr., both of Conway, Ar and Jerry Paul (Dorothy) Robinson of Morrilton, AR and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 2 pm, Sunday, March 8, 2015 at Greater Pleasant Branch Baptist Church, 601 Spruce Street, Conway, AR. Visitation 5-7 pm, Saturday, March 7, 2015 at the funeral home. Interment Ray Cemetery in Conway, AR
