Mrs. Mary Jean Coats, 71, of North Little Rock, Ar departed this life Monday, September 23, 2019. She was born April 5, 1948 in England, Ar to Jackson and Marsetta Coats.
She was the fifth child born. She is preceded in death by her parents Jackson, Sr. and Marsetta Coats; siblings Ruthie Mae, Earnest Coats, Aline Coats, Lloyd Allen Coats, A.C. Coats and Bertha Bumley.
Mary Jean Coats was a devoted and loyal worker at Cintas for 30 years. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Little Rock, AR. She also attended Horace Mann High School in Little Rock, AR.
Mary Coats loved reading, writing, dancing and watching sports on TV. She also loved and cared for her dog names J.J.
She leaves to cherish her memory beloved and devoted son, Antonio Barnett Coats "Punkin" of Little Rock, AR; one sister Linda Coats Wright of Kansas City, MO and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, October 5, 2019 and Visitation 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Friday, October 4, 2019. Both will be held at the funeral home chapel. Interment Rest in Peace Cemetery in Hensley, AR.
