Obituary for Mary Francis Harrington

Mother Mary “Mae Francis” Harrington was born on February 15, 1939 to the late Ezell and Odessa (Bynum) Acklin. She graduated from Jones High School in 1957.

Mother Harrington accepted Christ at an early age. She enjoyed singing all over the city with singing groups Evangelistic Voices and Echoes of Faith during the early years. Mother Harrington enjoyed watching football, basketball and soap operas.

At the time of her passing, she was a member of Greater Second Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Featherstone.

Mother Harrington took her last walk on this side of eternity on March 14, 2023.

Mother Harrington has been welcomed into PARADISE by her parents and siblings John Wesley Acklin, Albert Lee Acklin, Clermon Acklin, William Acklen, Evelyn Deloris Ransom and Betty Lorraine Acklin.

She leaves to cherish her memory and to continue her legacy to her daughter Sandra Griffin of Charlotte, NC; three sons Ronald Harrington and Eric Peebles, both of Little Rock, AR and Zebulon Harrington of Naperville, IL; one sister Erma Jean Harris of Aurora, IL; one brother James Theodis Acklin of Sherwood, AR; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Monday, March 27, 2023 at Greater Second Baptist Church, 5615 Geyer Springs Road, Little Rock, AR. Visitation one hour prior to service (10:00 am). Interment at 1:00 pm, Monday, March 27, 2023 at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 1501 W. Maryland Avenue, NLR, AR.
