Obituary for Mary E. Beard
Mary Elizabeth Beard, age 77, of Conway passed away February 6, 2009 at Heritage Nursing Center. She was born March 10, 1931 in Conway, Arkansas to the late William and Viola Moore Beard. She was also preceded in death by a son Bobby Beard two brothers, William (Buddy) Beard and Emanuel (Pan) Beard and two sisters, Rose Clemmons and Lueversie Wolfe.
She united with Christ at an early age with Union Baptist Church and later joined Palarm Chapel Baptist Church where she remained a faithful member until she became ill. She retired from Bob's Grill after 28 years of service. Ms. Beard leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Emma Doss (Rev Jerry Doss) and Brenda Balenton (Rev. Andrew Balenton) both of Conway; Two sisters, Lucille Payne of Los Angeles, CA and Cozetta Cornay of Detroit, MI; 10 Grandchildren, 12 Great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at 11am at True Holiness Saints Center, 198 Highway 286 East, Conway, Arkansas where E.C. Maltbia is Senior Pastor and Rev. Andrew Balenton officiating. Interment Robinson Cemetery. Visitation 2 - 5pm Tuesday Larry G. Acklin Funeral Home, Conway 327-1124. "IN YOUR TIME OF NEED....... WE CARE".
