Obituary for Mary Ann Garrett
Mary Ann Garrett, 98, of Kansas City, MO departed this life on Saturday, September 5, 2020. She was the third child born to Sam and Rachel (Woodard) Garrett on March 30, 1922 in Greenbrier, AR.
Mary Ann accepted Christ at an early age. While growing up she attended Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church. Years later she became a faithful member of 8th Street Baptist Church in North Little Rock, AR under the leadership of Pastor Jameel Wesley.
She retired from Albert Pike Hotel after several years of service.
She is preceded in death by her parents Sam and Rachel Garrett; three brothers James Garrett, Sr., Jeffro Garrett, Sr. and Leamon Garrett, Sr.; two sisters Florida Mae Wright and Willie Ferguson.
She is survived by five nieces Joyce (Othman) Saunders, LeGina Garrett, JoAnn Acker, Linda Warren and Helen Criswell; seven nephews James (Nancy) Garrett, Perry Garrett, James Warren, Millard (Loretta) Warren, Delman Garrett, Jeffro Garrett, Jr. and Leamon Garrett, Jr.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 pm, Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Rest in Peace Memorial Garden, Hensley, AR. A Walk Thru Visitation will be 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Friday, September 18, 2020 at the funeral home.
