Obituary for Marvin Ray Bedford
Mr. Marvin R. Bedford, 76, of Conway, AR, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 26, 2017. Marvin was born June 15, 1940 to William and Mattie Bedford and was the middle child and only son of their seven children.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents and his older sister Willie Flood.

Marvin was a longtime employee of Deans Foods and the Conway Public School System. Marvin professed a belief in Christ at a young age and was a faithful servant of God and long-term member of Pleasant Branch Baptist Church in Conway, AR, where he actively served on the deacon board until he became ill. In 2015, he accepted his calling into the ministry and, shortly before his death, he was awarded his Certificate of License in the Gospel Ministry by Reverend Robert McCray, the Pastor of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church.

Marvin is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dorothy, two children, son Marvin William Junior Bedford and daughter Alice Wright (Robert), two grandchildren Brent Bedford and April Rogers (Marquis), all of Conway, and two great grandchildren Bryceson Bedford and Braylin Bedford both of Dallas, TX. He is also survived by his five sisters: Mae Blanks, North Little Rock, AR, Margaret Crow, Little Rock, AR, Dorothy Price (Freddie), Jacksonville, AR, Vadell Crenshaw (Earl) and Marilyn Lindsey, both of Conway, AR.

He leaves a host of brothers and sisters-in-law, all of whom he considered his brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friendships to cherish his memory.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Greater Pleasant Branch Baptist Church, 601 Spruce Street, Conway, AR. Visitation 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm, Friday, March 3, 2017 at the funeral home. Interment Dukes Cemetery (United Baptist) in Conway, AR.
