Obituary for Margretta Davis-Payne
Mrs. Margretta Davis-Payne, 68, of Jacksonville, AR (formerly Maumelle, AR) departed this life on Monday, June 20, 2016. She was born to the late Cecil and Alberta Bynum in Palarm, Arkansas.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Alberta Bynum and one sister.

She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and united with Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church and later united with Trinity Grove Baptist Church, where she served as an usher, worked with the bible school classes, Church Kitchen supervisor, drove the church van, and completed a bible study course offered by the Middlewestern District. She was also a member of Trinity Grove Mass Choir.

Margretta was employed by Baldwin Piano Company and later with Ward Bus Company, where she retired.

She was united in Holy Matrimony to Lee Davis. After this passing, she married Jonathan Payne.

She lives to cherish her memory, her husband Jonathan Payne of Jacksonville, AR; three daughters Sharlene (Frank) Powell of Minneapolis, MN; Felecia Snow of Sherwood, AR and Shatera Davis of Maumelle, AR; three sons, Charles (Jenifer) Alford, Jr. of Conway, AR, Eric Davis of Little Rock, AR, and Cody James Davis of Maumelle, AR; Four sisters, Bobbie Sewell of Conway, AR; Helen Criswell of Mayflower, AR; Jeanette (Will) Irby of Mayflower, AR and Tina (Donnie) Ikpa of Lawrenceville, GA; Eleven brothers, Cecil (Laceyrean) Bynum of Kansas City, MO; Philip (Nancy) Bynum of Mayflower, AR; Alfred (Carolyn) Hoskins of Conway, AR; Clarence (Ernestine) Bynum of Mayflower, AR; Johnny (Nenita) Bynum of Mayflower, AR; Milton (Marilyn) Bynum of Conway, AR; Harry (Evette) Bynum of Mayflower, AR; Tony Bynum of Mayflower, AR; Malvin Bynum of Conway, AR; Calvin (Latonya) Bynum of Conway, AR and Larry Bynum of Pittsburg, VA; God-children Casey Credit and Miranda Garth, both of Maumelle, AR; Step-children, Penny Brisco, Leanne Davis, Angela, and Sylvia Dailey;
Ten grandchildren, Seven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 2:30 pm, Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Trinity Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 14208 Old Maumelle Road, North Little Rock, AR. Visitation 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm, Friday, June 24, 2016 at the funeral home. Interment Perkins Cemetery in North Little Rock, AR.
