Obituary for Marcus R. Mattison
Marcus Rochard Mattison of Conway, Arkansas departed this life July 4, 2006. He was born to the proud parents of Ann Mattison and Courtney Mattison on April 22, 1981 at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock, AR.Marcus was baptized at St. James CME Church, Conway, AR where he received his spirtual foundation and later became a member of Ebenezer UMC, Conway, AR.He was a graduate of Conway High School, Class of 1999. Afterwards, he enlistedin the United States Navy where he made three tours of duty to the Persian Gulfduring wartime.Survivors include his mother, Ann Yvonne Mattison; father, Courtney Ray Mattison; one brother, Morgan Ray; grandmother (Nana), Velma F. Morris (Hubert), Special Aunt, Dorothy Mattison; Aunts, Lorraine Allen, Cherron Boston (Kevin); Uncles, Ricky Mattison (Jeannie), Robert Mitchell (Natalie), Bryant Mitchell (Beryl), LeMar (like a brother), his Godparents, Frank and Florence Smith (Michelle), faithful friend, Michael Blakeley, and many loving cousins and extended family.Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 8, 2006 at Greater Pleasant BranchBaptist Church in Conway, Arkansas. Interment Robinson Cemetery Visitationwill be 5-8 p.m. Friday, July 7, 2006 at Larry G. Acklin Funeral Home, Conway.Arrangements entrusted to Larry G.
