Obituary for Maebell Givans
Mrs. Maebell Givans, 86, of Conway, departed this life May 24, 2012. Maebell Givans, 86, of Wooster, Arkansas departed this life on Thursday, May 24, 2012. She was born on June 22, 1925. She was the sixth child of the late Veila Brockman and Mattie Brockman. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Jason Givans; daughter, Jeany Stewart; brothers Veris Brockman, Elmer Brockman, Luke Brockman; sisters Inez Brandon, Beathric Greenlaw, Dorothy Ealy, and Sarah Brockman.
Maebell professed a hope in Christ at an early age with the Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church. She then moved to Kansas City, MO where she attended Pentecostal Church of God in Christ. She was on the Usher board where she was a very faithful member. She worked at Scotch’s Deluxe Cleaner for several years.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory Maeetta Ealy of Conway, AR, Lula Green of Kansas City, MO, Eluid Green, Jr. of Conway, AR, Jimmy (Connie) Givans of Kansas City, MO and Martecia Givans of Kansas City, MO. One sister, Catherine Wilson of Conway, AR; 15 grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Family visitation will be 6-7 pm Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Larry G. Acklin Funeral Home, 910 Walnut Street, Conway. Funeral services 11:30 am Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Elite Funeral Chapel, 11525 Blue Ridge Blvd #2, Kansas City, MO. Viewing will begin at 10 am prior to service time.
