Obituary for Luther Owens Morris
Mr. Luther Owens Morris, 53, of Conway, Ar departed this life on Saturday, August 12, 2017. The youngest of seven children, he was born on November 5, 1963 to Mary Alice Acklin Morris and the late Tesrow Morris.
He was preceded in death by two brothers; Billy D. Morris and Thomas E. Morris and two sisters, Norine Agee Cook and Carolyn Carolina Coleman.
He accepted Christ at an early age and united with the Greater Pleasant Branch Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. J. R. Raynor.
Luther attend Conway High School and obtained his GED while in the Unites States Army. Luther graduated from trucking school and later worked for several major commercial trucking companies.
He loved music and had a special love for old school music. He enjoyed fishing and spent his spare time on the fish bank.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Cynthia Morris; his mother Mary Alice Acklin Morris of Conway, AR; one son, Cortez Price of Little Rock, AR; three daughters, Keauna Williams of Conyers, GA; RaVaugh Pringle and Countess Price, both of Little Rock, AR; two brothers, Kenny Carolina (Danika) of Little Rock, AR and Ralph Morris of Conway, AR; four sisters; Mary Mills of Riverside, CA; Nadine Jarmon of Deerfield Beach, Florida; Elleen Brown (Eugene) and Sandra Dillard(Benny), both of Conway, AR; a very special friend, John Cummings of Conway, AR; four grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Services will be held 1:00 pm, Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Greater Pleasant Branch Baptist Church, 601 Spruce Street, Conway, AR. Visitation 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm, Friday, August 18, 2017 at the funeral home. Interment Ray Cemetery in Conway, AR.
