Obituary for Lula Mae Vasser
Mrs. Lula Mae “Plum” Vasser, 63, from Conway, Ar departed this life Tuesday, October 7, 2014. She was born in Aubrey, Ar on May 28, 1951 to Mazell (Jones) and the late Grover Vasser.
She confessed her belief in Christ and was baptized at an early age at Hampshire Missionary Baptist Church and served the master faithfully through her adult life.
She met and married John L. McKnight in 1974 and to this union twelve children were born. She was preceded in death by her father, the late Rev. Grover Vasser; her former husband, John L. McKnight; a daughter, Sheterria McKnight; and two brothers.
She is survived by seven sons: Kieth (Tori), John, Jr. (Kim), Shawn (Wendy), Jemon (Mary), Deonte (Ashley), Jason and Alex; four daughters Nikki (Jerome), Zell (Larelle), Stephanie and Keishia (Orlando); twenty-two grandchildren and counting; a loving mother, Mazell Vasser; one brother, Donnie; three sisters Lena, Carol and Connie and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 12 noon, Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Hampshire Missionary Baptist Church in Aubrey, AR. Visitation will be 2-6 pm, Friday, October 17, 2014 at Larry G. Acklin Funeral Home in Conway, AR.. Interment Hampshire Cemetery in Aubrey, AR.
