Obituary for Lula Conley
Lula Thomas Conley, 100, a life long resident of Conway, Arkansas, departed this life April 9, 2009. Lula was born March 7, 1909 in Faulkner County to the late Tom Thomas and Rosie Thurmon Thomas. Lula was a devoted wife, mother and sister. She was the President of the GFMBC mission society for 60 years and an usher for 50 years.On October 18, 1930 Lula married David W. Conley, Sr. who preceded her in death. Lula is survived by one child David W. Conley, Jr. (Lois) of Conway, AR; one sister Leronia Thomas Brown of Conway, AR; 17 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, 58 great-great grandchildren and many nieces & nephews.Funeral services will be held 11am Saturday at the Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Conway with burial immediately following in the Greater Friendship Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday 6-7pm at the funeral home. Arrangements entrusted to Larry G. Acklin Funeral Home, Conway. "IN YOUR TIME OF NEED....... WE CARE".
