Obituary for Lucille Walker
Lucille passed peacefully from this life the afternoon of April 30th. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family and friends. She was born on May 14, 1951 in Twin Groves, AR (Solomon Grove community). She was preceded in death by her parents Minister Robert Y.C. and Cozetta (Jones) Walker; three sisters and six brothers.Â
Lucille was a teacher for 32 years in the Fort Worth Independent School District and also Arkansas. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. She was a faithful member of Pilgrim Valley Missionary Baptist Church where she supported the youth department and drill team. In addition, she was an active member of the Health Awareness Team.
Lucille is survived by two brothers, Hubert (Lorevas) Walker of Little Rock, AR and Charles Walker of Twin Groves, AR; two sisters, Mary (James) Collins and Brenda (David) Tenner, both of Little Rock, AR; a special niece Zandra Lasker of Little Rock, AR; two goddaughters Tennia Adkins Gilbert of Fort Worth, TX and Michelle Momodo of Grand Prairie, TX and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.Â

Memorial services were held 6:30 pm, Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Pilgrim Valley Baptist Church, 4800 South Riverside Drive, Fort Worth, TX where Rev. Maverick Gayden is the pastor.
Funeral services will be held 2:30 pm, Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Solomon Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 273 Solomon Grove Road, Twin Groves, AR. Visitation 2-6 pm Friday, May 8, 2015 at the funeral home. Interment Solomon Grove Cemetery in Twin Groves, AR.
