Obituary for Lucille Hightower
Ms. Lucille Hightower, 65, of Conway, AR departed this life on Friday, April 22, 2022. She was born February 19, 1957 in Conway, AR to the late William and Bernice (Thompson) Hightower.
Lucille gave her life to Christ at an early age and later joined the Mt. Gale Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Forrest C. Cooper. She was a faithful member until her health failed her. She served as an usher, greeting members and guests as they entered the church, and escorting them to their seats. She will forever be remembered for her smile and sweet, quiet spirit.
Lucille was an active and outgoing person. She loved being out in her yard. She loved working in her garden. She loved to BBQ/smoke meat. She loved to sew/make her own clothes. She loved being with family as well as hanging out with friends. She had such a loving and giving spirit. She loved to reminisce about the past. She loved giving her nieces and nephews wisdom, advice, and guidance. She was a great supporter of all things family no matter what is was.
Although Lucille never had children of her own, she was an awesome, devoted, and beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, William and Bernice Hightower, six brothers, Ellis Hightower, Zebbede Louis Hightower, LC Hightower, Jimmy Hightower, Clarence William “Sonny” Hightower, and James Hightower, Sr., one sister, Bessie “Cindy” Hightower Wesley.
Lucille leaves to cherish her memories two sisters, LueEthel Flood of Flint, MI, Minnie Jean Hightower of Pasadena, CA, three brothers, Johnnie (Tammie) Hightower of Conway, AR, Luther Leon Hightower and Anthony Wayne Hightower of North Little Rock, AR, one uncle, James Hightower of Tulsa, OK, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Mt. Gale Missionary Baptist Church, 8 W. Brannon Drive, Conway, AR. Visitation 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm, Friday, April 29, 2022 at the funeral home.
