Obituary for Lexie Flood
Mrs. Lexie Dillard Flood, 88, of Twin Groves, departed this life April 1, 2012. She was born to the late Edward Dillard and Lottie Jenkins Dillard in Damascus, AR on April 1, 1924. She is preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Harvell and Joe T. Flood, five brothers, James Dillard, Ezekiel Dillard, Clephus Dillard, Thermon and Edward Dillard; two sisters, Carrie Jones and Pearlie May Dillard.
She worked for Conway Human Development Center for over 19 years. She was also a member of Zion Grove Baptist Church in Twin Groves, AR.
She is survived by her four daughters, Esther Mae Tucker of Damascus, AR, Mae Helen (Don) Livingston of Seattle, WA, Dorothy (Ron) Russell and Rose Jefferson, both of Kansas City, MO; 22 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren, 24 great great grandchildren; two sisters, Geneva Bailey and Oneatha Moses; five sister-in-laws, Alemnta Blackwell, Beaddie Brown (John), Joyce mcClanahan, Joyce Dillard and Lou Ethel Flood; one brother-in-law, Aaron T. (Anne) Flood and a god daughter, Dorothy Bedford.
Funeral services will be 11 am Saturday, April 7, 2012 at Zion Grove Baptist Church, 1514 Hwy 65 North, Twin Groves, AR. Visitation one hour prior to services. Interment Zion Grove Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Larry G. Acklin Funeral Home, 910 Walnut Street, Conway. 327-1124 "IN YOUR TIME OF NEED....WE CARE."
