Obituary for Leslie Anne Kelso
Ms. Leslie Anne (Orr) Kelso, 57, of Conway, AR departed this life Friday, February 27, 2015. She was born on June 5, 1957 in Santa Monica, CA to the late Robert and Helen Orr. Â
Leslie was an amazing woman who loved life and was a blessing to all who knew her. Â While living in Ojai, CA, Leslie worked at Help of Ojai as the head chef. Â She tirelessly cooked special meals for the less fortunate and elderly of Ojai, even driving to each one of their houses to deliver the meals over Christmas. Â Leslie knew each and every one of them and if they had a dog or cat, she would add a special treat to the meal for their pet.
Leslie moved to Conway, Arkansas in October 2011 with her boyfriend Keith and continued to touch the lives of all those who knew her. Â She worked at Home Depot and Camp Robinson, and made countless friends at both places. Â Her work at Camp Robinson helped her to give back to the armed forces, as her father, brother and both daughters had done. Leslie made a point to get to know those soldiers and no doubt made their weekends of drilling a little homier and a little brighter.
Leslie had a passion for life, her family, her plants and cooking. Anyone who knew her, knew a woman whose heart was boundless. Â Who would cook you the most amazing meal, with vegetables right out of her own garden and who would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. Â Her philosophy was yesterday is in the past and today is today.
Leslie is survived by her sister Catherine Brewer;  two daughters Jennifer (Erin) and Rhiannon; former husband John; boyfriend Keith Sveningson and their cat, Foxy.
Services will be held 2 pm, Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Larry G. Acklin Funeral Home, 910 Walnut Street, Conway, Ar. A memorial service will also be held at 5 pm, Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at the Euterpe Farm, 587 S. Rice Rd, Ojai, CA.Â
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Help of Ojai in Leslie's memory.Â
