Obituary for Lerone Roberts, Jr.
Mr. Lerone “Romeo” Roberts Jr. was born March 27, 1974 in Morrilton AR to the late Lerone Roberts SR. and Mary Perry. He went home to be with the Lord on September 4, 2023. He was a loving and devoted son, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin, and friend. He attended Morrilton Public Schools and graduated from Morrilton High School in 1992.
Lerone professed a hope in Christ at an early age at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Morrilton, AR. under Pastor E.A. Arnold. This is where he developed a strong love for singing. He loved to sing, direct the choir, and was a dedicated member for many years. He later went on to join the Mt. Gale Missionary Baptist Church of Conway, AR on December 12, 2004 under Pastor F.C. Cooper, where he continued to sing and serve until his death.
He began working at the age of fourteen years old at Morrilton Parks and Recreation. This is where he developed his working commitment and took pride in his job. He worked at Mc Donald’s Corporation for many years as a manager. He loved his job and the employees he managed.
He was preceded in death by his father Lerone Roberts JR., and grandmother Burnice Harris. He leaves to cherish his memories: His beloved mother Mary Perry of Morrilton, AR.; Two brothers-Christopher Perry (Denise) and Joshua Perry (Dianna) both of Conway, AR. His nephew Jeremiah Perry, niece Jocelyn Perry both of Conway, AR. They were very special to him, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and beloved friends. His quick wit, infectious laugh, and precious memories’ will live on forever!
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Friday, September 15, 2023 at Mt. Gale Missionary Baptist Church, #8 W. Brannon Drive in Conway, AR. Visitation 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm, Thursday, September 14, 2023 at the funeral home. Interment Mt. Zion Cemetery in Morrilton, AR.
